Description:
Tactile orientation aids make it easier for blind and visually impaired people to find their way in road traffic.
Panels with a relief structure are used to mark various traffic areas and for the safety marking of bus stops, parking spaces or crossings suitable for disabled people, for example by means of a wheelchair relief on the panel. With these panels, it is necessary that the fields stand out clearly from the surrounding flooring and that the structure can be felt with a long cane or even with the feet. Accompanying strips with a flat, low-joint surface that contrasts in color and texture with the relief panel should be positioned on one or both sides of the guidance systems. These serve to better differentiate the guidance system from the normal road surface.
Material:
For easier acoustic differentiation, the relief slab is made of fiber-reinforced concrete on core concrete, so that a change in the floor covering is also perceptible through an acoustic change. Thanks to good color and luminance contrast, the tactile floor tiles are also easier for the visually impaired to recognize
and distinguish.
