Description:
Granite or concrete kerbstones, which have a very high dead weight, are laid to reinforce the edge of the road. Even today, they are mainly laid by hand or with the aid of laying tongs. With these methods, the heavy kerb stone is still lifted manually and placed in the concrete bed. The use of vacuum kerbstone setting devices or hydraulic kerbstone grippers reduces these physically strenuous activities.
The virtually stress-free placing, setting down and moving of the kerbstones avoids the need for bent postures under load. In addition to a considerable reduction in general physical exertion, the spine and hand-arm system in particular are relieved.
The exemplary vacuum kerb-laying device is suitable as an attachment for all types of wheel loader with fork carriage plate. The Jumbo BV is flange-mounted to the fork carriage plate with claws and is equipped with its own adjustable fork tines.
The manufacturer Probst Greiftechnik also offers hydraulic kerbstone laying tongs.
