Description:
The system is used to mobilise secretions by means of high-frequency oscillation of the thoracic wall.
The therapy device "The Vest" consists of an inflatable waistcoat and a ventilation unit, which is connected to the respective waistcoat via two connecting tubes. The Vest airway clearance system facilitates the removal of retained secretions due to acute and chronic respiratory diseases. The system can assist with airway clearance in patients with airway dysfunction, retained secretions and/or ineffective coughing or removal of secretions due to immobility, muscle wasting or muscle weakness. The product supports the mobilisation of pulmonary secretions through thoracic high frequency oscillation (HFCWO) therapy. With a focus on the requirements of acute care, it enables patients to breathe more easily.
