The company is developing a portable blood test and cell phone app system that enables chronically ill people to monitor their own medication dosage.
The sensors can quantify biomarkers and drug concentrations with a very low detection limit in complex matrices. These sensors are designed to emit light that changes color depending on the changing concentration of the biomarker. Thanks to their high reproducibility and specificity, they can be easily detected even at very low analyte concentrations (in the nanomolar range) using simple devices such as a digital camera.
The sensors are used in the diagnostic field, especially for home monitoring. The test kit provides quantitative results on a person's drug levels in just 15 minutes.
