Product Type:
Antidecubitus seat cushion with honeycomb air chambers
Areas of Application:
- Wheelchair cushions
- severe ulcerative decubital ulcer (grade IV)
- individual correction of the sitting position
- Pelvic obliquity
Description:
The cushion consists of up to 156 air-filled rubber domes, divided into four zones, which can be regulated via a central valve. For optimal seating adjustment, only enough air is released to prevent sitting up. It is used for pressure ulcer prevention and therapy, especially when seating correction is necessary.
Depending on the valve position, the cushion can be used as a single- or four-chamber system, for example, to correct pelvic misalignment. Depending on the size, it contains 64 to 111 air chambers. The required cushion height depends on weight, body shape, skin condition, and clothing.
The material is made of highly elastic natural rubber, which is bonded through vulcanization without adhesives and remains flexible regardless of temperature. Eyelets on the corners allow for secure attachment to the wheelchair.
