Product Type:
Ventilator
Description:
Astral enables mobile invasive and non-invasive daily ventilation of patients (> 5 kg) with minor to complete dependency in acute and/or long-term care. The device is equipped with a choice of different modes of operation, tubing systems and interfaces, making it applicable to a wide range of clinical conditions. It is comparatively lightweight, weighing 3.2 kg, and is equipped with a long-lasting internal rechargeable battery that ensures use even in the event of a power failure.
The Astral features preset and adjustable alarms, including a customizable disconnection alarm. The optional Remote Alarm II also allows patients to stay connected to remote alarm systems or the nurse call system at the hospital or other inpatient facilities. A simple touch of the large buttons on the main screen can start, stop or silence the alarm.
Because ventilation needs can change throughout the day, the Astral offers memory options for many programs and settings. At the touch of a button, you can switch to the program that corresponds to the patient's current condition.
