Description:
YuMi is a collaborative two-arm robot for small parts assembly that comes with flexible gripper hands, a parts feeding system, a vision system for parts recognition and a powerful robot controller. It is designed to work safely side by side with humans in a normal production environment. Depending on the application, however, additional protective measures may be required.
YuMi can use its two robot arms to perform the movements required for small parts assembly in the tightest of spaces. The reach of the robot arms corresponds approximately to the reach of human arms. YuMi can be used directly at workstations previously occupied by humans. The space required for an automation solution with YuMi can therefore be reduced to a minimum.
