The SuitX IX Shoulder Air exoskeleton is designed to relieve the shoulder muscles and joints and, according to the manufacturer, is the lightest of its kind. It allows full freedom of movement. It uses only the body's own energy and works without a battery.
The exoskeleton is a human-machine system that combines human intelligence with mechanical strength by actively assisting the movements of the person wearing it. It reduces the compression pressure in the lower back when lifting heavy loads. This reduces the risk of accidents at work and illnesses caused by overexertion. Exoskeletons are used wherever human labor cannot be sensibly replaced by full automation or robotic systems.
