The Orcam myEye is a small reading camera that is clicked onto glasses.
On the back of the camera unit, on the ear side, there is a speaker for speech reproduction.
The camera works wirelessly and has the basic function of reading printed text.
Additional options are available such as face and product recognition, colour identification and barcode recognition..
Languages: standard for Belgium: Dutch, English, French, but other languages can also be added.
The camera must be aimed at the text; sufficient dexterity or residual vision is required for this.
The user must then point a finger at the text to be read
and then a photo is taken. The text is then read out.
Extra:
Face recognition: the face of another person is recognised. The first time, a name must be entered that will be pronounced the next time you meet someone. Product recognition

Colour identification
Barcode recognition: there are already many barcodes in the system. Codes that are not yet in it can be added manually.
Advantage: hands-free operation and simple tactile operation. However, this operation depends on the motor capacities.
