Product Type:
Everyday aids from 3D printing
Description:
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a digital manufacturing process in which material is applied layer by layer to create three-dimensional objects.
The three-dimensional printing process can also be used to customize DIY (do it yourself) assistive products such as everyday aids or gripping aids. These can be, for example, cup holders, plate raisers, one-handed scissors, writing aids, protective masks or hand prostheses.
The files with the 3D designs, some of which are offered for download by the providers, can be used on any 3D printer.
