Description:
The electrically controlled eating robot is aimed at people with or without limited upper limb function. The eating robot has an automatic and a semi-automatic mode. In automatic mode, a meal can be taken without the use of hands or fingers. In semi-automatic mode, the user has a greater choice of operation. In most cases, one-button operation is used. Other options include operation using a joystick, the user's own smartphone or environmental control systems.
The iEAT eating robot does not require complicated menus if personal adaptations are to be made. The settings of the eating robot can be adapted by the users themselves or by people around them.
