Functionality
There are many apps that turn your iPhone or iPad into a digital microscope. But this one is made specifically for reading by less good lighting. The app highlights signs, changes or replaces colors. Contrast and brightness are adjustable independently of each other. The app increases in standard mode up to 10 times and provides high contrast color schemes (such as yellow signs on blue background). If you (double) tap on the screen, the buttons and controls on the sides of the screen appear. There are buttons for magnification, contrast, brightness, color reversal, a camera button and a button to freeze the image. Freeze the image may (especially on an iPad) be useful because you can zoom in on the frozen picture and it can be moved.
On the iPhone, there is also a handy button to illuminate a text with the built-in LED that serves as a flashlight when taking pictures.
This app can be very useful for those on the go and just have to read some text, but is not a fully fledged alternative to a real digital magnifying glass.
Accessibility
Everything has to note that there is well thought of accessibility. The app is easy to operate with or without VoiceOver. When changing the value of a setting, the new value is shown briefly in big. After that, the controllers to use the display disappear. Note that the app just needs time to propose a text correctly focused.
