Description:
Tactile orientation aids make it easier for blind and visually impaired people to find their way in road traffic.
The scaled plate with an asymmetrical profile serves as an additional orientation aid and indicates an increased need for attention for blind and visually impaired people. With these panels, it is necessary for the fields to stand out clearly from the surrounding paving and for the structure to be felt by
a long cane or even by the feet. Accompanying strips with a flat, low-joint surface should be positioned on one or both sides of the guidance systems, contrasting in color and texture with the scale panel. These serve to better distinguish the guidance system from the normal road surface.
Material:
The scaled slab is made of concrete and the tactile floor slabs are easier to recognize and distinguish for the visually impaired thanks to good colour and luminance contrast.
