Description:
The core of the Assist Mobil is a seat that is used as a driver's seat on long distances in the car. On short and medium distances, the universal seat is located on a Segway-like chassis and together with it forms an extremely maneuverable wheelchair. The wheelchair is balanced on just one axle, i.e. a pair of wheels.
If the ultrasonic sensors of the chassis detect a staircase, the wheelchair reverses until the two wheels touch the first step. With the help of the fold-out legs, the wheelchair then climbs step by step until the entire staircase has been mastered. The legs are then retracted again and the chassis automatically switches back to drive mode.
