The device works without a motor. The patient actively moves the contralateral, injured side passively with the healthy leg and controls the movement himself up to the individual pain threshold. This enables a gentle movement experience at a very early stage (sense of position, movement and strength are addressed), which makes it easier and less time-consuming to achieve functional stability and compensate for the proprioceptive deficit.
