Opis
The system consists of two vibrating bracelets and an app on the smartphone. The bracelets have a battery and are wirelessly (via bluetooth) connected to the smartphone.
After being charged on the wireless charging pad, they have an autonomy of several days. The accompanying app is available for both iOS and Android and is easily accessible, with large high-contrast buttons
(large icons and large text) for the visually impaired and good speech reproduction for the blind. Both the language on the screen and the spoken messages are in Dutch.
The user receives route directions via vibrations in the wristbands and no longer has to listen to the spoken route guidance.
This allows him to keep his attention better at ambient sounds (oncoming traffic) and steering the guide dog. He can be guided, as it were, 'unheard'.
A long vibration of the right wristband means that you must turn right into a street within 25 meters. A short vibration of the right wristband means that you must immediately turn into a street on the right.
If the left wristband vibrates, you must of course turn left. A simultaneous vibration of both wristbands means that you are still following the correct trajectory. If both bands continue to vibrate left and right alternately,
you've made a wrong turn and it's best to turn back and the N-Vibe will put you back on the right track. When you feel both wristbands vibrate three times in succession, you have arrived at your destination.
After calculating the route, the N-Vibe asks you to rotate the device around your axis. This allows the compass to determine the direction in which to depart.
Once you are in the right direction, both wristbands vibrate for a long time and you can start walking. This compass function is a strong plus because it ensures that you always leave in the right direction.
