Description:
The Hilti TE-CD/TE-YD hollow drill no longer has a drill helix, but instead has openings on the solid carbide head. They are used to remove the concrete drill dust directly through the hollow drill bit by means of a connected Hilti VC suction unit.
The time-consuming drill hole cleaning for dowels and subsequent reinforcement connections with blowing out and brushing out is completely eliminated, which significantly reduces dust pollution.
Hilti received a commendation from the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) for its TE-CD/TE-YD hollow drill at the German Hazardous Materials Protection Award ceremony.
