Description:
The reciprocal walking orthosis is a modular system for creating a walking orthosis that spans the hips. Walking takes place by alternately shifting the body weight sideways. The leg sections are linked by a rocking mechanism that brings the free leg forward and the supporting leg back. This enables reciprocal walking (foot-for-foot).
The special feature of the "Isocentric R.G.O." system is the special ball-bearing design with extremely low friction losses. This means that the usual cable pulls can be dispensed with. The walking orthosis can be used up to a paralysis level of Th. 7/8, in individual cases up to Th. 5.
