The Hims BrailleSense Polaris may seem like a normal reading line, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Connect it to the internet, via the built-in WiFi module, and it functions at the level of a laptop. Google's Android operating system, on which the Polaris runs, makes it possible to download apps from the Google Playstore and work with Google services such as Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides, just like any other student and professional. Google Chrome also allows you to surf the web the same way as anyone else.
The Polaris is therefore comparable in functionality to a tablet, without a touchscreen, but with an integrated Perkins keyboard and braille reading line.
