Description:
The rolling board is a sliding board with Teflon rolling sheet for repositioning patients at the same height between bed and bed, or stretcher and bed. There are different versions and sizes. According to the operating instructions, the patient is turned slightly on their side and placed back on the sliding board. By applying light pressure with both hands against the patient's hip and shoulder, the sliding surface of the rolling board is set in motion and the patient is moved up to a maximum of 90 cm. Only one caregiver is required for repositioning with the help of the rolling board.
The use of a drape and two caregivers is recommended for severely injured or disabled people.
