Description:
The Harlekin variable positioning and functional wedge was developed for positioning children with severe disabilities and/or learning difficulties in accordance with their illness, disability and therapy. It is primarily used in early intervention for cerebral movement disorders, muscular dystrophies or children with spina bifida. It serves as an active, corrective positioning aid and is individually adapted to the disability of the individual.
The versatility of the Harlekin allows the patient to lie on their stomach, back and side as well as in a sitting position and therefore to feed, play and sleep in the assistive products. The colors appear fresh and rich in contrast, which also appeals to children with impaired perception. The Harlekin system consists of foam elements and washable imitation leather. The removable parts are fitted with sewn-on Velcro and fleece straps and are easy to attach. In addition to the total of 15 different Harlekin modules, custom-made products can also be supplied.
