Indications:
- moderately severe lumboischialgia with mild deficits due to disc protrusion/prolapse
- Moderately severe radicular, pseudo-radicular lumbar syndrome
- grade 1 spondylolisthesis with lumbargia
- moderate lumbar deformity (repetitive treatment - complicated course)
- condition after thoracic surgery with small to medium prolapse for recurrence prophylaxis in pronounced thoracic spine
- hyperlordosis with significant sagging
Contraindications:
The application and wearing of such an assistive product may be contraindicated in the following clinical pictures:
- Skin disease/injury in the treated body part
- Inflammatory symptoms, raised scars with swelling, redness and overheating
- Sensory disorders
- Severe restriction of cardiopulmonary performance
- Risk of increased blood pressure with the assistive product applied and increased physical exertion
- Pregnancy from the 3rd month onwards
Description:
Modular system (2-stage therapy):
1st stage: Restriction of movement in an enthoro-dosing position
In the 1st stage, a lordotic position and abdominal pressure are achieved by the laterally stabilised 6-part bridging pad and the individually adjustable abdominal pad. The pressure on the illness disc is reduced and the affected movement elements are relieved. Movement is severely restricted, rotations are still possible to a limited extent.
Stage 2: Reactivation
In the final stage, the stiffening of the articulated pad and the upper strap are removed, the pad is shortened to 4 segments and the stabilizing rod is replaced by a flexible connecting element. The spine is returned to its physiological lordosis. The high-compression support and the bridging of the lumbar spine relieve the damaged intervertebral disc. If symptoms recur, the support can be returned to the orthosis at any time.
