Dot Pad can display graphic illustrations tactilely.
The device offers a display with 60x40 plastic pens, with a reading line with 20 braille cells underneath. The manufacturer developed its own electromechanical braille cells that are smaller, lighter and more energy-efficient than classic braille cells. These braille dots have a disadvantage: you are not allowed to keep your fingers on the dots while building up the image.
For operation, there are four function keys and two arrow keys to slide the image horizontally on the graphic display. There are two USB-C ports and Bluetooth to connect the device to a Windows PC or an iPhone or iPad. The device contains a rechargeable battery and can therefore be used separately from the power outlet.
There is also the web application Dot Canvas, which offers a drawing module with which you can make a drawing that can then be displayed on the Dot Pad.
