Product Type:
Stimulator with partial implants
Technology: Phrenic nerve stimulator
Description:
As an alternative to mechanical ventilation, the implantable phrenic nerve stimulator Atrostim 2.0 enables physiological breathing. Two nerve electrodes with stimulators are surgically implanted to electrically stimulate the diaphragm. This supports natural breathing and, in certain cases, can also enable speech.
Through regular stimulation and training impulses, the respiratory volume can be increased.
Features / components:
- 2 independent channels
- Stimulation modes: left unilateral, right unilateral, bilateral
- Stimulation pulse: biphasic, constant current pulses, primary pulse width 200 s
- Energy transfer takes place by means of magnetic transmission of the energy pulse via the intact skin.
- Battery life: one week Battery capacity: one week with fully charged 12 V battery, 8 hours with 9 V battery
